Droneberger Hütte
Winter · December – March

Snow, quiet, wood fire

Winter at 1,225 m.

When the snow comes, there's usually a lot of it. We keep the access road clear — even in winter you can drive to the cabin. Inside, the wood stove and tiled stove keep things warm.

In winter

Ski touring from the cabin

Tours to the surrounding peaks go directly from the yard.

Cross-country skiing

Trails in the area — 14 km away.

Sledging

Down the track to the cabin — the classic for kids and the young at heart.

Snowshoeing

When the snow is deep, routes open up that aren't there in summer.

When the weather brings you inside

  • Wood stove and tiled stove heat the cabin. Both separate, both good.
  • IR sauna in the house, for warming up.
  • Firewood by consumption — you pay for what you burn.
  • Living area with satellite TV, for the long evenings.
"In the winter months it gets quiet up here. That's the point."
